Iraqi oil: the conclusion of oil contracts with 10 foreign companies
Sulaymaniyah February 23 (AKnews) - The Undersecretary of the Iraqi Oil Ministry, said the ministry has so far concluded oil contracts with 10 foreign companies, in order to enhance oil production in Iraq.
He Mutasim Akram told Kurdistan News "in order to upgrade Iraq's oil production, we are currently working with large international oil companies in the promotion of the oil sector."
"The implementation of contracts and work done by these companies need a long time, and companies will take time to come to Iraq and to lay the groundwork and provide the inputs required in preparation for the start of work."
The Iraqi Oil Ministry and now signed contracts with 10 foreign companies specialized in the oil sector, and these companies are operating in order to advancement of the oil sector in Iraq and promote production."
According to Akram, "we have 22 work crew working in the field of digging oil wells in different parts of Iraq, the line of duty in these areas, their own abilities and experience of Iraq, so this crew can produce 200 thousand barrels of oil a day extra, this year, which promote increased oil production in Iraq. "
He noted that "quantities of oil exported by Iraq at this time of $ 800 -900 million barrels a day."
