Iraqi-Indian commercial conference in Karbala next AprilFebruary 23, 2010
KARBALA / Aswat al-Iraq: An Indian commercial delegation wrapped up visit to Karbala on Tuesday, where it agreed to hold a commercial conference in the city in mid April with the participation of Iraqi and Indian traders, the advisor of the Karbala Chamber of Commerce said.
“The Indian delegation during its week-long visit knew about the security, trade and tourist reality in the city and held talks with several officials,” Abdulaal al-Yasseri told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“The delegation discussed also the latest commercial developments in Iraq, mainly in Karbala and different proposals to boost cooperation between the two countries,” he added.
Karbala is 110 km southwest of Baghdad
