IHEC decides to postpone electoral campaign until Feb. 12
BAGHDAD- The commissions council of the Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) decided on Thursday to postpone the electoral campaigns of all candidates and political blocs until February 12 instead of February 7 to give the federal court the opportunity to answer the IHEC’s questions.
The commissions council had decided to start the electoral campaign on February 7.
The parliamentary elections will be held in Iraq on March 7 to elect 325 lawmakers amid fierce competitions among all candidates.
