Big Government is reporting that a conference call has taken place between Bill Clinton, James Carville and other notorious Clinton attack machine professionals aimed at coordinating a vicious national smear campaign against individual Tea Party leaders.
Big Government:
Democrats are facing political annihilation this November. Not only do Democrats face the possibility of losing their congressional majorities, massive losses in state house races could jeopardize redistricting next year and set back the progressive agenda for at least a decade.
So, the Clinton Empire is planning to strike back.
Big Government has learned that Clintonistas are plotting a “push/pull” strategy. They plan to identify 7-8 national figures active in the tea party movement and engage in deep opposition research on them. If possible, they will identify one or two they can perhaps ‘turn’, either with money or threats, to create a mole in the movement. The others will be subjected to a full-on smear campaign.
And of course, as per the standard leftist protocol, Clinton has already begun setting the stage to play the victim while simultaneously launching this tyrannical war on dissent. One can spot the beginnings of the strategy in the way Clinton defended Martha Coakely against Tea Partiers in January:
There is a mass national effort to discourage progressive independents from voting and to discourage disappointed liberals from voting.
Invent a phony vast right-wing conspiracy against Democrats while conspiring to brow-beat regular Americans into silence with threats, intimidation and personal attacks...all for daring to speak out. This is straight out of Saul Alinsky. Ann Coulter wrote an entire book about this tactic. It's how liberals avoid looking like thugs and bullies while destroying people who get in the way of Democrat power.
This is the central theme of my book. Liberals cannot win on a level playing field. It is only through relentless scams, misinformation and egregious abuses of power that they remain relevant.
