The Millennium Foundation is an independent, non-profit foundation, established in November 2008.Our mission is to empower individuals with a direct call to action by making it easy and positive to make a small voluntary $2, €2 or £2 donation in order to help eradicate life-threatening contagious diseases including HIV/AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis. The Millennium Foundation provides an innovative source of sustainable funding for UNITAID.

ECOSOC Chamber Special Events: Launch of the new micro-contribution initiative "MASSIVEGOOD" - created by the Millennium Foundation for Innovative Finance for Health.

The initiative will be launched by H.E. Mr. Ban Ki-moon, Secretary-General, and H.E. Mr. William J. Clinton,founder of the William J. Clinton Foundation and the 42nd President of the United States (organized by the Permanent Mission of France)

On a new micro-donation initiative called "MASSIVEGOOD" that will allow travelers to give $2 towards the health related millennium development goals.

Participants include: Mr. Philippe Douste-Blazy, UN Special Advisor on Innovative Finance for Development; Mr. Ray Chambers, UN Special Envoy for Malaria; Dr. Bernard Salome, Managing Director of the Millennium Foundation for Innovative Finance for Health; Mr. Julian Scheitzer, Vice President of the World Bank Human Development Network; and Mr. William Maloney, American Society Travel Agents Chief Executive Officer (sponsored by the French mission to the United Nations).
