Re-elected Ben Bernanke, Chairman of the Federal Open Market Committee
WASHINGTON (AFP) - A Federal Reserve official said on Wednesday that officials of the Council re-elected Ben Bernanke - who chairs the Board of Governors of the Central Bank - to head the Federal Open Market Committee's policy-setting Council reserve.
The term of the presidency of Bernanke as Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Reserve on Sunday and seems likely to win the consent of the Senate to remain in this position for a second term.
