The Presidency ratified the service and military retirement

Council approved the Presidency on the law of service and military retirement, passed by Parliament recently.
A presidential statement received "morning," a copy of it: "Based on what passed the House of Representatives in accordance with the provisions of subsection (I) of Article (61) and the legal period set forth in paragraph (b) of item (V) of Article (138) of Constitution, the law on military service and retirement.
And emphasizes the reasons for issuing the law that "Given the lapse of a long period of issuance of the law of service and military retirement (1), for the year 1975, which became not consistent with the changes and current developments in military regulations, it has become necessary to enact a law regulating the service of officers, promotion and service imams, and volunteers and promotion as well as referral provisions to retire or resign and the organization of pension rights, allotments and deprivation of sacrifice and honor during duty and other matters related to service and retirement.
The law requires the granting of the rank of lieutenant in the army has to be Iraqis and Iraqi parents, and complete (20) twenty years of age and not more than (26) twenty-six years and not more than (28) twenty-eight years for members of the army and the Ministry of Defense, and the must be graduates of military colleges, military academies in Iraq or foreign student receiving from the Pentagon, or colleges and institutes of higher non-military at least for the duration of the study (4) four years or so of special courses organized by the ministry.
