Company Russia refused to participate in the tender Iraq for economic reasons

Said Ross, president of the oil Sergei Bogdaczykov that his company refused to participate in a tender to get the two oil fields in Iraq because of the low rate of return.

It should be noted that the company earlier announced its desire to enter the bidding for oil fields in Iraq has not ruled out attracting a foreign partner in the project.

Bogdaczykov said in press statements we studied those fields and petroleum have taken the decision not to participate in the auction of non-profitability for us, explaining that this is not our time to enter Iraq.

The Russian Company Lukoil consortium and the Norwegian company Statoil won earlier in the auction for the right to invest the West Qurna oilfield, the largest oil fields in Iraq.
