December 29, 20092010 budget to support interior, defense ministries
BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Finance Minister Baqer al-Zubaidi stressed on Tuesday that the 2010 general budget will witness significant support to the interior and defense ministries to improve Iraqi forces’ capabilities.
“The minister asserted that budget will support these two ministries to improve the forces’ capabilities in fighting terrorism and crime,” said a ministry’s statement received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“This came during the minister’s meeting with Defense Minister Abdulqader al-Zubaidi,” the statement added.
“Al-Zubaidi reviewed his ministry’s efforts to secure the coming elections next March in coordination with the interior ministry,” it noted.
