In the name of God the Merciful

The Iraqi people who are waiting impatiently to go to the polls to choose their representatives, who expressed his pleasure at the success of the House of Representatives to reach an electoral law ..

Surprised by the announcement of VETO for the law, which poses a serious threat to the political process and democracy, was not based on strong constitutional did not take into account the national interest.

I am from a position of confirming the decision of the people's representatives of the Council of Representatives, I invite the Independent Higher Commission for Elections to continue their technical and complete the preparations for holding the elections on time without delay or affected by this veto.


I also call upon the political forces and coalitions and electoral lists to continue its work and the completion of all requirements for participation in the elections.
