US envoy to UN meets Iraqi Kurdistan President

IRBIL, Oct 24 (KUNA) -- US Ambassador to the UN Susan Rice, who arrived in Iraq's Kurdistan Province from Baghdad on Saturday, held talks with President of the Province Masoud Barzani on the upcoming Iraqi elections.
Rice met with Barzani immediately after arriving in the Province, a statement by Iraq's Kurdistan Government said, and discussed the political developments in Iraq, the forthcoming parliamentary elections and relations between the government of Kurdistan and the US.
Rice arrived in Baghdad yesterday and met with Iraqi President Jalal Talabani and Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki and discussed means to exit from the UN Charter's Chapter VII.
