Parliamentary committee wants to pass oil bills before summoning oil minister
Legislating oil bills should precede the summoning of Oil Minister Hussein al-Shahrestani, said the deputy head of the Iraqi parliament’s oil and gas committee.“Legislating those laws brings big benefits to the country,” Lawmaker al-Hasani told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
He said that accusations directed to al-Shahrastani are not big, and if those bills are passed, it would be hard for him to violate them.
