Key financial issues to be discussed16 October, 2009
Finance Minister Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa will today head for Oman to attend the GCC economic and financial committee's meeting.
An update on ongoing negotiations between the GCC and other economic blocs will rank high on the meeting's agenda.
The GCC committee and Gulf central bank governors will also hold a key meeting with the International Monetary Fund executive director to discuss latest economic and financial developments in the global arena.
Bahrain's delegation includes Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) Governor Rasheed Al Maraj, assistant under-secretary Ahmed Farraj, CBB executive director for banking operations Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa and other officials.
