The Gulf Cooperation Council''s (GCC) General Secretariat has begun preparations for the Council''s 30th summit due to be held in Kuwait from Dec. 14 to 16.
Sources have told AlŲWatan that the United Arab Emirates is likely to announce its return to the single Gulf currency after it had officially announced its withdrawal from the monetary union earlier this year.
Regarding the ongoing preparations, a source close to the secretariat intimated that the Foreign Ministers'' Council will hold a meeting in Kuwait on Nov. 17 to set the summit''s agenda that will include a host of regional and international issues.
The source further explained that the foreign ministers will hold another meeting on Nov. 3 prior to the Nov. 17 meeting to discuss the visions laid out by the Interior, Defense and Foreign ministers.
