CAIRO, Oct 20 (KUNA) -- The Arab Economic, Social Council must develop its mechanism in order to implement resolutions which came out of the Arab economic and social development summit which was held in Kuwait, said a Kuwaiti official Tuesday.
Undersecretary at the Finance Ministry Khalifa Hamada told KUNA that the first meeting for the Arab team responsible for looking into measures to develop the council would last for three days and it would focus on establishing a basic formula in which the council would operate within.
The meeting had discussed the main-frame of the Economic and Social Council, stated Hamada, revealing that the meeting called on the Arab League's Secretariat to prepare a draft paper concerning each state-members' contribution to the council.
Four basic domains were discussed during the meeting to develop the council, stated the Kuwaiti official with these domains focusing on administrative and executive roles which the council should play within the Arab League.
